We offer evidence based acupuncture care for Bristol TN/VA, Kingsport, Johnson City, Abingdon and Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee. What is evidence based acupuncture? Evidence based acupuncture is acupuncture treatment that is scientifically proven to be effective for specific conditions.

Acupuncture has been used throughout the world to treat numerous healthcare conditions for over 5000 years. In the United States, acupuncture utilization in healthcare has grown by over 50% from 2002 to 2012. Why? Acupuncture works!

Acupuncture focuses on the body’s electrical pathways that play vital roles in your health. Any interference along these can cause health problems. The electrical pathways can be positively effected via very specific points on the body. Sound strange? Consider the human heart. The heart functions via electrical pathways that can be measured via an electrocardiogram. Should there be dysfunction in the cardiac electrical pathway there will be problems effecting your health.

Our treatment via evidence based acupuncture provides a choice of either insertion of fine needles or a laser. Additionally, we utilize the 2017 AcuGraph Digital Imaging device. This state of the art equipment allows specific visual evaluation of your body’s electrical meridians (pathways). The AcuGraph also suggests advanced recommendations for treatment as well provides objective evidence of your progress. All of which make better treatment decisions for improved patient outcomes.

The types of conditions can be treated with evidenced based acupuncture: acute and chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraine and other types of headaches, neuropathy, gout, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis/golfers elbow and shingle pain. Additionally, the National Cancer Institute has concluded that acupuncture is appropriate treatment for chemotherapy and/or radiation induced:nausea, vomiting, fatigue and peripheral neuropathy.

Acupuncture is safe and effective. Call today for your evaluation!
